Salamonski Art "Colors of Life" Exhibition
currently in COYA Abu Dhabi
Thomas Salamonski is a contemporary artist and presented his latest works of the exhibition series "Squared Faces" at the "WWFA" in October 2019 in Dubai, at the Art Hub Gallery in Abu Dhabi in November and at the Emirates Palace in December 2019. At 25th of February the solo exhibition "Colors of Life" was opened at COYA Abu Dhabi at Four Seasons at The Galleria Al Maryah Island. The exhibition is still ongoing and can be visited during COYA Abu Dhabi opening hours.
The series was first successfully presented in Vienna as part of a vernissage and subsequent
exhibition to a broad art-interested audience. Since then, more new paintings have been born and artworks of animals now complement the colorful portraits.
Each piece of art
shows a portrait whose color style reminds of the graffiti and pop culture of the 80s but at the same time makes the viewer think of sacral stained glass. These contrasts run through each
painting, the corners and edges continue in round lines, and through the use of light and shadow they reveal a face in all its dimensions. Thus, the viewer can decide how deeply they want to
immerse themselves in the consideration of these layers and forms. Just as we can decide in everyday life how far we want to look behind the facade of a human being.

VERNISSAGE "Squared Faces" 04.04.2019
